Getting Back to Life after a Natural Disaster.

Constructing buildings is the need of the growing population. As the population is increasing the need for more and more buildings is also increasing. The design of these buildings is very high tech and these buildings are constructed with the modern techniques and high quality material. Lots of money, time and energy is invested in this construction. Irrespective of using these high tech design techniques and good quality material we can not stop natural calamities to destroy them. Natural calamities like floods and earth quakes cause great destruction especially to the multi story buildings and houses. These natural calamities are a big destruction for the buildings. This destruction leaves everything a mess and will have to be cleaned up.After a natural disaster restoration of the buildings has to be done. Some of the buildings are so badly affected that they just collapse down to debris or they have to be completed demolished. Then they have to be re constructed. Before any construction can occur on the site of a natural disaster, the area needs to have a good clean up. Before cleaning up the construction site, it is important that the site be surveyed properly and thoroughly. After that the clean up work should be started. The clean up work should be divided among various people. Each person is assigned a specific job and will need to make sure that the job is carried out completely. For cleaning up the construction site we need lots of man power and equipment. The equipment that is used for cleaning the site is the helping hands of the workers. This can save time and energy because a single machine can perform job of many persons. To start with the cleaning process first of all iron and steel is removed from the debris of the building. This job is done with the help of manpower as well as with the machines. This iron and steel separated from the debris can be re used. After separating iron and steel the undamaged bricks should be searched and kept aside. These undamaged bricks are also reusable. Then the debris should be searched for some wooden material which is undamaged. The rest of the debris, which is a waste material and is of no use, should be cleared from the construction site. After throwing the waste material from the construction the entire site itself should be cleaned up. As all the debris is cleared from the construction site it should then be leveled with fresh mud. Trolleys are used to carry the mud to the construction site and do the leveling job. Leveling can also be done with machines. Leveling of the land if done with machines consumes less time. After the leveling work is complete the construction site is ready for construction. It is very important that the material like iron and steel, wood and bricks which are separated from the debris of waste material should be kept in proper place. That means there should be proper storage area for all these things so that they are utilized properly and also do not produce hindrances in the way of the workers. Keeping the construction site clean and orderly will help everyone do their jobs more efficiently and therefore get the building reconstructed much quicker.About AuthorAbagail Odalis is a home restoration specialist who currently works in the New York Carpet Cleaning Industry.
