Christmas gift

My children preferred to adopt a pet from the Humane Society for Christmas instead of recieving presents. When we arrived camera crews were filming pets who needed to be adopted. As we browsed the unfortunate I noticed a cat very black skinny long black tail. Children did not take to her at the shelter. Female feline was 1 years old and 1.8 pounds with a severe respitory cold. I was in disbelief. smileysad Then a staff memeber from the shelter approached her talking to her as if the cat could talk. Amazed the cat started meowing in such a way it caught my attention, she was danity too. My 10 year old daughter was not pleased with we agreed to take the black cat home. I told my daughter we are her to help the unfortunate, I also asked my daughter which one of these cats physically needs attention to you. ......my child began to cry... The begging weeks were very dangerous the feline was fraile would not eat or drink.The vet wanted to insert an IV in her to give her fluids over night. $$$ As we left the Vet my 16 year old daughter took on the responsibility to force feed her through a tube we purchased from the Vet. (Also force water)   I was torn up inside.... After the storm I can happily say Pepper is now 5 pounds eating on her own and is very loved. My 10 year old daughter named her Pepper cause she sneezed ALOT ..

Euthanasia is it our choice?

hello everyone, first I have to say I am a animal lover, but I do have a tendency to not like the type that can do us harm. Here in Florida, at seaworld we lost a killer whale trainer,,by a whale who has killed twice. The first time I could understand because the first time a stranger tried to go swimming naked in this killer whales pool in the night,, and it probably reverted to its nature. This time I am not feeling so right about it,,anymore than the pitbull controversy,. we just had a three year old girl mauled to death by a pitbull here in Florida..in any state a dangerous animal is usually put down when causing a death of another animal or person,,but they don't want to put this whale out too sea,,because it might die, or euthanaise it,, the other controversy I am wondering about is there was a man who died this recently,,I think he had the emperor complex,,as when he passed away he had his puppy euthanaised also to be buried with him..so where in this strange world do we draw the line? What tweeks in the Euthanasia laws would you put concerning this,,do we have the right to take a puppy's life ( barbaric to me),,or allow an animal that has killed once to continue on (wondering if its more a business move than a humane move) let me know what you think folks..susanwhitestar

Dogster Website unwanted email selling drugs

This morning I received a news email from Dogster,  www.dogster.com and right above it was an email from someone named "moster".  It was possibly offering drugs for sale like adderol but in Spanish.   I did not open it as I could tell that the words in Spanish that I saw were the names of three drugs.   I suppose whoever sent it made their name look as much like the word dogster as possible so that I might open it up.    I contacted dogster and reported the problem.  I also changed my settings there to not receive personal messages.  This email looks like it came from someone who works for dogster since the two were right together mailed at the same time.    You may want to check your account there and make the same change.
