If you don’t mind my asking, I’m trying to figure out what a reasonable percent of my income is to be going towards a mortgage payment. My partner and I make around $ 6500 gross monthly, and I’m wondering what percent of that we could reasonably spend on a mortgage without getting in over our heads. We have no other debt, but have normal bills like utilities and car insurance. If you don’t mind could you please give me an idea of what you earn and what you put towards your mortgage? Or what percent of your gross income goes towards your mortgage payments?

Thanks so much!

A few years ago when I lived in Oregon Auto insurers could (and did) check your credit but Washington law didn’t allow it- you could get car insurance without giving out your social security number. I am in Nebraska and need to know- do I have to give out my SSN to insurers?

Auto Insurance Mandates: 1. Require you to buy car insurance only if you choose to drive a car. Only as a condition of driving. 2. Could I buy an auto insurance without a car? I have no car yet and I plan to buy a used car from owner. So I would like to rent a car for a week to find a used car. Before I buy my used car, could I buy the auto insurance first? Thanks!

I’m looking at buying or leasing a new car and am wondering how that’ll affect my auto insurance premium. Also, which features in a new car affect the premium. I’ve heard about red paint and sports cars causing higher premiums, but are there any other factors?

Is it true that the more expensive your car is, the insurance will automatically go up, too? Isn’t the older car need more insurance cover since they are more easy to get into accident? I don’t know much about auto insurance, so you can share some of your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =D
